Coming Together...

So, the Easter Holidays have begun and I now have all my data ready to analyse!

It's amazing how much has emerged from my interviews and I'm now really looking forward to bringing all my research together to analyse. I'm hoping to use my time off to make a really good start on writing everything up so I can begin focusing on my Professional Artefact (this will also allow time for feedback and tweeking). I have an idea that I need to get onto paper and mindmap to get it all out of my head. Once I have done this, I hope to share it on my blog and with my SIGs to get more thoughts and ideas how my initial idea could be developed.

I'm feeling very organised currently and have been really pleased with my planning and time management so far. I hope I can continue this through the more difficult areas of the inquiry.

Where is everyone else at with the stages of their inquiry? How has everyone managed fitting in their interviews?

  1. Hi Ellie!! Sounds like everything is going well?

I like you also have some time off this week - having random classes as my schools are all on different holidays. I had hoped to start bringing all my info together but it's proving difficult to get my interviews organised. I have done 2 so far. How many people did you interview?

    1. Hi Lisa,

Yes, surprisingly well at the moment! Hope it lasts!

Due to my work all being in one location, I managed all three interviews within a week. I was very lucky to have got it all done so efficiently. I hope you manage to make a start regardless and take advantage of your time off.

      Best wishes.

  2. Hi Ellie,

It sounds like your inquiry process is going really well! Similarly to you, I am on my second week of the Easter Holidays. I am analysing my data, drafting my critical review and planning for my artefact. I plan to send a sample analysis and a one page summary of my artefact to Paula by the end of the week for formative feedback.

I am hoping by the end of next week to send a critical review draft (without a completed data analysis) to Paula by the end of next week. How have you found the write up? It is something that I am feeling slightly anxious about. I always feel like I have completed a lot of work, but its daunting having to organise this into logical and concise writing. Do you have any advice for the planning part of the critical review?

    Thanks for this post,
    Jess.
